Article Marketing: What's REALLY the Goal

A lot of people who get into article marketing seem to be a little fuzzy about what they are trying to accomplish through this awesome marketing technique.

I hear people talk all the time about selling more, building rapport, adding credibility, etc. but most article writers fail to realize that all those things are simply part of the bonus plan… they’re not the real goal of article marketing.

Don’t get me wrong – more sales, better rapport with customers, and improved credibility are really terrific fringe benefits to article marketing… But that’s not the purpose behind writing articles.

Do you really know what kind of targeted traffic your website attracts?  I bet you think you know exactly who your audience is… but does your vision of who comes to call at your site live up to the reality?

You might be surprised, if you knew.

I found a really great website that will allow you to get a really interesting view of your targeted traffic, how much money they make, what kinds of things your audience is interesting in, other sites that they visit, etc., and all that information is provided for free.

The site is called Quantcast.  Check it out, you might find it a real eye-opener!

What’s even better is that you can also use their tools to check out the targeted audience of your competition!  It’s awesome!

Driving targeted traffic to your website can sometimes seem like a ginormous task, especially when you’re first starting out in online entrepreneurship. Many newbies start out by building a great looking website and then just sit around and wait for the visitors to come.

It’s the whole Field of Dreams thing, “If you build it, they will come.”

But it doesn’t work that way.
