I agree. A barrage of sales material is almost offensive to some. I recently begun an e-zine newsletter for my readers. I was careful not to put too much ‘advertising’ of my book(s)in it. I included articles, a prize winning contest and other helpful and interesting items that the readers will enjoy. I think a gentle marketing strategy is a much more effective way to advertise. Thanks for confirming my own beliefs about the responsibility which accompanies email marketing.
